A Sacramento circle of relatives is grieving the loss of an 18-12 months-vintage killed in a dirt bike accident off the Central Coast.
The crash occurred Saturday, marking the sixth loss of life this 12 months at Oceano Dunes. Now, there are calls to stop off-roading in the pastime area over protection issues.
“It’s just this kind of difficult time right now for us even to recognize he’s long gone,” said sister Tanya Palisehuk.
With heavy hearts, Alan Chernitskiy’s sister and sister-in-law say they’re seeking to still the loss of their little brother.
They say they went from enjoying their family excursion to now making plans for a funeral.
“It’s a gut-wrenching feeling, like a pit in your stomach that quickly he’ll show up,” said sister-in-law Marina Chernitskiy.
The 18-year-old was born and raised in Sacramento. He went to Antelope High School and became a reading engineer at American River College. He died in an off-roading coincidence, simultaneously as on a circle of relatives ride in an area his family says he went to often.
“He died doing what he cherished; he loved something off-roading,” said Marina.
The incident happened at the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area when Alan crashed his bike off a 30-foot dune. It’s still unknown how speedy he becomes riding.
“Unfortunately, he didn’t see a cliff dune that changed into 32 feet high, and he went over it,” said Marina.
The sisters say park officials completed CPR; however, he unluckily died on the scene. The incident is raising concerns for some visitors.
“He should have paved himself a road for greatness; he changed into smart past his years,” said Marina.
This is now the second Sacramento guy who misplaced his lifestyle at Oceano Dunes. Back in April, a 34-year-old was killed in an ATV crash.
